Eyre Square North: From the junction of Eyre Street to the junction of Williamsgate Street.
Period of Closure: From Sunday 2nd November 2025 to Wednesday 7th January 2026.
Reason: Galway Christmas Market 2025.
Diversion Routes: Via Prospect Hill, Bóthar Úi Eithir, Forster Street, Eyre Square, Williamsgate Street
Advance diversion signage will be in place prior to work commencing.
Documents can be inspected at Reception, Galway City Council, City Hall, College Road, Galway, H91 X4K8, during office hours, from 9.00am to 4.00pm, Monday to Friday. Objections to the proposed temporary closure may be submitted in writing to Mr Patrick Greene, Director of Services, Galway City Council, at above address, or by email to: roads@galwaycity.ie not later than 12.00PM Wednesday 22nd October 2025.
