Galway City Council supports community festivals in local areas to encourage participation in community life. Galway City Council will support festivals or events which are organised and run by local Community groups & resident’s groups as a way to reconnect the local community to encourage, support and celebrate participation in neighbourhoods across Galway City.
A total fund of €25,000 is available this year and interested local community groups planning a festival or event in Galway City are invited to apply.

Events and festivals must take place within the year 2026 and no later than 30 November 2026.

Grants will range from €300 - €2,000.
The closing date for all online applications is March 9th 2026 at 12.00pm.
