New Dock Street: From Dock Road to Merchants Road
Period of Closure: 8am to 6pm, from Monday 11th May to Friday 22nd May 2026
Reason: External painting and refurbishment of Merchant Square Building. Diversion Routes: Temporary diversion route will be in place via Spanish Parade R336, Flood Street R336, onto Merchant Road.
Localised access will be maintained at all times.
Advance diversion signage will be in place prior to work commencing.
Documents can be inspected at Reception, Galway City Council, City Hall, College Road, Galway, H91 X4K8, during normal office hours, from 9:00am to 4:00pm, Monday to Friday.
