Galway City Council is introducing a new rent scheme for social housing tenancies, to support enhanced service delivery, maintenance, retrofits and tenancy support.
Women in Galway City are invited to participate in free self-protection and defence classes, starting in September 2025. Presented by Black Dragon Kickboxing Certified Personal Trainer and Instructor, Pete Foley, participants will learn practical techniques to boost confidence, situational awareness, and self-protection skills.
A series of three successful sewing workshops took place over three evenings at the Galway Bay Hotel earlier this month, offering participants the chance to learn sewing techniques through the medium of spectacular African print fabrics, with local designer Virtue Shine.
