Scheme Overview
Works on this project are now complete. Minister of State at the Department of Transport, Seán Canney, officially opened the Parkmore Road Bus Priority Scheme in April 2025.
Works on the Parkmore Road Bus Priority Scheme began on Monday, February 19, 2024.
The proposed measures include:
- Provision of Bus Lane southbound on Parkmore Road (L-5147) from the Parkmore Road Roundabout to a point 180m north of the Monivea Road Junction
- and associated works including the provision of three additional traffic light controlled pedestrian crossings on Parkmore Road, raised junction treatments along Parkmore Road and the provision of ancillary works including kerb realignment, pavement works, landscaping, public lighting, footway renewals, traffic signs and road markings.
