University Entry Requirements

If you are resident in Ireland for 12 months as an Internation Protection Applicant, you may apply to complete a level 6 Diploma in Foundation Studies (in English) through University of Galway. Diploma in Foundation Studies (In English)

If you complete a level 6 qualification in English, you will waive the requirement for an English language assessment. If you do not complete level 6 or equivalent in English, you will be required to achieve a IELT’s overall score of 6.5 and no lower than 5.5 in any specific area.
