Thrive At Climate Carnival

A sincere thank you to everyone who joined us throughout Saturday in Fr Burke Park on Saturday, where a presentation was given by Allies and Morrison on the Integrated Urban Strategy for the West Area of Galway City.

Key Themes

The West Area is a distinctive and vibrant neighbourhood within Galway City.

Located just beyond the original city walls and separated from the city centre by the River Corrib, it has a rich and evolving history.

Once a hub of industry, the area flourished as a place of trade following the opening of the canal in 1852. Today, it continues to thrive, supported by a strong and active business community.
