Councils invite Proposals for Economic Development of Former Galway Airport Site

Galway City Council and Galway County Council are inviting Expressions of Interest in relation to the sale and future economic development of the former Galway Airport site in Carnmore. Spanning 118 acres, with frontage onto three roads, the site has capacity to accommodate a multiplicity of uses, subject to zoning and planning.

Stakeholder Workshop – Cross Street Rejuvenation Project

Galway City Council is inviting interested parties to participate in a non-statutory stakeholder workshop regarding the Cross Street Rejuvenation Project. The event takes place in The Mick Lally Theatre, Druid Lane on Wednesday 15 January.

Cross Street Rejuvenation Project

Galway City Council, in conjunction with the National Transport Authority and the Department of Housing’s Urban Regeneration Development Fund, are pleased to announce the commencement of the Cross Street Rejuvenation Project.

Public Realm Strategy

The Strategy provides a vision of place and design guidance. It outlines a series of project proposals of different scales that will improve Galway’s streets and public spaces over a period of time that will coincide with the ambition of the National Planning Framework to realise Galway’s role as Regional City.
