Bicycle Repair and Maintenance Stations

Galway City Council has provided three bicycle repair and maintenance stations throughout the city.  These stations are free to use, and include a bike stand, a pump for tyres, and other tools which you can use to carry out on-the-go repairs and maintenance.  The three stations are conveniently located at

  • Fairgreen
  • Ballinfoile Castlegar Neighbourhood Centre
  • Westside Community Centre
  • Ranmore Community Centre
  • Blackrock
  • Knocknacarra Community Centre

The exact locations can be viewed using Galway City Council's Cycle Parking Map.

These stations are free to use.  Each stand is equipped with essential tools for basic bike repairs and maintenance, including a pump for inflating tyres.  The bike repair station can fit different various shapes and sizes of bikes for maintenance needs.

To use a station, the cyclist simply needs to lift the bike and place its frame onto the bike repair stand provided. Hanging the bike from the hanger's arms is also easy and comfortable as they are covered in rubber.
