GALWAY CITY COUNCIL NOTICE OF PROPOSAL TO MAKE BYE-LAW PARKING CONTROL BYE-LAWS 2025

Notice is hereby given that Galway City Council in exercise of the powers conferred on it by Section 131A of the Local Government Acts 1925 to 2014, Section 36 of the Road Traffic Act, 1994, as amended, and by Section 101 of the Road Traffic Act, 1961, as amended, proposes to make the Galway City Council Parking Control Bye-Laws 2025 (the Draft 2025 Parking Bye-Laws”) for the regulation and control of parking in respect of the area comprising the functional area of Galway City Council.

Launch of EV Charging Hub

Groundbreaking Public EV Charging HUB Launched in Westside

A groundbreaking pilot electric vehicle (EV) charging hub was launched in Westside today by the Mayor of the City of Galway, Cllr Mike Cubbard, and Minister of State at the Department of Transport, Seán Canney TD. The hub is the first solar-powered with battery and grid back-up public EV charging hub in Ireland.

N6 Galway Ring Road - Response to Further Information

On 14 April last, the further information request from An Board Pleanála was responded to with the submission of a comprehensive report and attachments. This submission marks a significant step forward in the planning process for a project that is essential to the future of transport infrastructure in Galway City and County and indeed the wider western region.

ROADS TO BE PUBLIC ROADS
In accordance with the provision of the Roads Act, 1993, Galway City Council HEREBY GIVE NOTICE of its intention to consider the making of a Declaration that the roads listed hereunder be public roads. This matter will be considered by the said Council at a meeting to be held not earlier than 7th April, 2025.
